Early Life
Fred Aaron Savage was born on 9th July 1976 in Chicago, Illinois. He is the son of Joanne and Lewis Savage; his father was a real estate broker. He has one brother, Ben Savage, who is an actor and a sister, Kala Savage, a musician. Their roots are in Poland and he was raised as a Reform Jew.
Education
Not much is known of his early childhood education but it is known that he was able to have a chance to join university. In 1999, he graduated from Stanford University with a degree in English. While still in the university, he was a member of the Sagma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
Marital life
He was engaged to then married Jennifer Lynn on 7th August 2004. On August 5, 2006, he got a son named Oliver and later had a daughter, Lily Aerin Savage, who was born on 3rd May 2008.
His acting career
In his life, Savage had been able to do several movies and teleshows. The first appearance was when he was featured in the movie Dinosaurs. After that, he appeared onscreen in The Boy Who Could Fly. He appeared in television shows like Twilight Zone and Crime Story. He gained national attention as the grandson in the 1987 film The Princess Bride where he played opposite Peter Folk. His acting career has been successful. Other than the few mentioned films and shows that he had been featured, he has also done other movies like The Wonder Years; a film that made him well known, Little Monsters, Vice Versa, The Wizard, Boy Meets World, Austin Powers in Goldmember and many others. He has also lent his voice to animated projects like, Family Guy, Kim Possible, Justice League Unlimited, Oswald and Holidize: The Christmas That Almost Didn’t Happen. He also guest-starred in the web series, The Rascal, on Crackle.
Other Achievements
Other than appearing on screen, Savage has also been a producer. He began with the episodes of Boys Meet World back in 1999. This was when Savage started his directing career and from which he has achieved a lot. Apart from directing the film Boy Meets World, he has successfully directed other youth oriented series like Drake & Josh, Ned’s Declassified, That’s So Raven and Wizard of Waverly Place. He has also co-produced the Disney Channel Original Series, Phil of the Future. Recently, he has served as a director for several episodes of its Always Sunny in Philadelphia show. It is not easy to be the number one and to remain there but for Savage that is only a fly on his back.
